The bare-ankle look only works if nothing gets in the way. We started David & Luna to make the pieces that let it work: no-show socks cut for low shoes, and the loafers to wear them with.
A small problem worth solving
Most no-show socks are an afterthought. They are cut for a generic foot, not for the shoe they sit in, so they slide down, bunch under the arch or show above the line of a loafer.
We began with that one item: a sock shaped for loafers, flats and low trainers, sold in matching packs so a week is sorted in one drawer.
Then the shoes to match
A good sock needs a good shoe. Our suede-look loafer keeps the classic slip-on shape and a low profile, in eight colours from beige to black, and the mule opens the back for days you want to step straight in. The polo and tee round it out: simple pieces that look right with both.
Fewer, better things that work together. That is the whole idea.
